Licensed Smokey Bear Products

Since you asked...About Us

Woodland Catalog LLC began as a home-based business in 1985. Dawna gave up her elementary teaching career so she could be home with young son, Walter, and new daughter, Julianna. In 2023, Julianna took over as manager and today continues tradition as a family- owned business with the trademark of personalized service.

In Woodland Catalog we strive to feature a wide range of items with the Smokey Bear or Woodsy Owl emblems. These products are licensed by the USDA Forest Service with a percentage of all sales returned to contribute to the nation's wildfire prevention program. Our catalog has grown from 8 pages in one color to its current 64 pages in full color as well as its online version. We mail nationally and to Canada twice a year.

Eventually the business outgrew our house and we acquired a building on Main Street near our home in Moscow, Idaho. We added a storefront and wildfire museum but in 2010 donated its collection and display cases to the Central Idaho Historical Museum in McCall. In 2019 we closed the walk-in store and sold our building to Habitat for Humanity (retaining a portion of the space) so we could focus entirely on serving our catalog and online customers.

In July of 2023 we moved the business to a new building we had constructed on property owned by Julianna and her husband, Paul, in West Richland, Washington. Julianna continues to operate Woodland Catalog LLC, embracing the principles of fast, dependable service, guaranteed satisfaction, and good old-fashioned personal service. Fundamental to it all is service in the cause of wildfire prevention and sustainable stewardship of our nation's natural resources.
